About Cricket Flours & Edible Insects

Why Bugs?!

As you might imagine, we get asked this question a lot, “Why Bugs?” Whether you are looking for an alternative flour, clean protein, or looking into more sustainable ingredients then edible insects are a great option!

Crickets are a great source of protein, antioxidants, Omega-3s, Omega-6s, prebiotics, B12, and contain all the essential amino acids.  Bugs like crickets use 20X less water, and use less feed and less land to create more protein…AMAZING!

Ready To Eat Bugs, But Don’t Know Where To Start?

Let’s Eat Bugs!

When we first launched the business in 2014, not a lot of people had tried eating bugs like our roasted crickets, mealworms, and especially not our new black soldier fly larvae.  So that is why we kept developing new products and ideas for ways to use edible insects in our favorite recipes.

That’s why if you look through our product lines you will see options like our 100% Pure Cricket Powder (no additives or flavors) or mixes like our All Purpose Baking Flour and Cricket Brownie Mix too.  We even have a line of roasted and toasted bugs that are flavored just like a bag of chips with options like our Buffalo Wing Sauce, Spicy Cayenne Peppers, Hickory Smoked Bacon, Cheesy Ranch, and Roasted Original that are available with our roasted crickets, mealworms, and black soldier fly larvae.

So feel free mix and match a few different products and let us know what you think!
