Have you checked out this National Geographic video yet?

I was just searching this morning for some videos on eating insects for a presentation and came across a piece put together by the National Geographic channel on eating bugs and entomophagy.

While it was 9-years ago I was surprised I hadn’t seen it and great to see how far the industry has come with edible insects and really how far we still have to go to making this a viable alternative.  Many of the reactions you here in the video of people trying roasted crickets and edible insect recipes are still the same.

In fact many people have tried these products as their first step towards eating insects.  They might have seen them in a gift shop, or as a gag gift with a chocolate cricket or a mealworm candy.  While there are many new options and varieties available now, it is still great to see!
