Each year we all see the same articles. “Top 5 Food Trends of 2018” or “7 Food Trends We KNOW You’ll Love…” While a new year starts fresh with the emergence of 2018, the same topics and titles are reused again but with a new year added.
So what do we do when we are constantly flooded with new trends and exciting new ideas?
Not a lot…and by that I mean we continue to do what we have been doing each year as well. While the suggestions might shift, our internal motivation is to just be better.
Be better at trying new things. Be better about what we are putting in our bodies. Be better at being present and making conscious choices.
In the end I know as a company, and as individuals we always set goals and metrics for ourselves for what we want to do over the next year. However, I think our main motivations remain the same and go back to the essence of why we started in the first place when we launched Cricket Flours. The idea isn’t to be on a list or have edible insects be listed again as a top food trend. But instead we continue to make the choice to be better and provide a great option for clean protein and nutrition from a sustainable resource using edible insects and ingredients like cricket powder.
So while launch into 2018 and begin focusing on your own goals and motivations, be a better you and let us know how we can help!

- Entomophagy, what is that? What is Entomophagy? Entomophagy generally refers to the human consumption of insects or bugs as a food source.
