This year we are excited to be a part of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry’s (OMSI) Harvest Festival 2016! The event will feature dozens of local Oregon companies with booths and free samples for you to try out some of your favorite products and new flavors. The event will be located at the North Parking Lot from 10am to 4pm.
The event will also feature a main stage with live cooking demos. This year Cricket Flours is partnering with the Pestaurant to sample new flavors of edible insects and also to showcase a new recipe that we will be making on stage with OMSI’s head executive chef. We will be making a Cricket Waffle Cone and French Vanilla Ice Cream on stage and even have fresh samples of the recipe for you to try. We decided to use our Cricket Flours: 100% Pure Cricket Powder to make a protein rich waffle cone, and then even added in some dried mealworms as a topping to the ice cream too. In case you can’t come make it out to the OMSI Harvest Festival event this year, we are also sharing the cricket ice cream recipe on our website for you to make at home!
