We were back in the kitchen working on a couple of upcoming recipes for a holiday party and came up with these Double Chocolate Cricket Crispies that will be a tasty treat at your next party! This recipe uses about 145+ crickets in the cricket protein powder to add additional protein and nutrition. This new Cricket Flours recipe doesn’t require an oven, and only takes about 15-minutes to prepare. For this recipe we combined our cricket powder, rice cereal, marshmallows, chocolate chips, and even peanut butter to create the Double Chocolate Cricket Crispies recipe!
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 10 oz marshmallows
- 3 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp Cricket Flours: 100% Pure
- 7 cups of rice cereal
In a medium saucepan set to medium heat, melt the 4 tbsp of butter and then add in 1 cup chocolate chips and marshmallows until fully melted. Next add in the peanut butter and Cricket Flours: 100% Pure and stir until fully mixed and then slowly add in the rice cereal and continue stirring until the cereal is fully covered.
Using a slightly greased cookie sheet or glass casserole pan, press the final mixture into the sheet/pan and spread evenly. Pour the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips across the top of your Double Chocolate Cricket Crispies and press into the mixture and then set to cool. Enjoy!
