In case you weren’t able to make it out to the Oregon Best and Clean Tech Challenge events last week, no worries, the Portland Business Journal was there to cover the story and our big win for the Grand Prize.  In the article written by James Cronin, he explains about the competition and winning teams for the annual Clean Tech Challenge event that our team has been preparing for over the past 90-days.

For the Clean Tech Challenge, we were challenged to come up with a clean technology aimed at solving problems the world is currently facing.  So we teamed up to research and prototype a new production facility to create cricket flour and cricket protein powder, and also from other edible insects as well.  We spent the summer collaborating with some amazing Oregon companies to test different technologies, work on extracting omega-rich oils from insects, and it all culminated in a 3-day event.  Overall it was a lot of work, but amazing to see what all of the teams were able to accomplish in just 90-days.
