This Spiced French Toast recipe is quick and tasty using a terrific blend of flavors. While french toast is already one of my favorite breakfast options to choose, the added flavor complexity and nutrition from cricket flour makes it even better! Each savory bit combines tastes of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and more. This recipe is great with maple syrup, fresh berries, etc. Enjoy!
8 slices of bread
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp 100% Pure Cricket Flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 dash nutmeg
In medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, cricket flour, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. Wisk all ingredients together until fully mixed.
Taking a slice of bread, quickly dip each side and place in a slightly oil pan with the stove-top set to medium-high heat.
Cook each side for approximately 30-45 seconds, or until golden brown.
