Cricket Flour Shake

As some of you know from our posts and live events we have been using a lot of our fresh garden ingredients to inspire new recipes and ways to incorporate Cricket Flours and cricket powder into new dishes and meals.  The Apple Pear Protein Smoothie is one of new creations that we made from apples that were ripe and picked from the garden to add a great crisp taste and texture to the smoothie.

While the taste is a little more mellow with this new recipe, it is a great way to get the added protein in your diet and feel full after a delicious smoothie with fresh apples and pears with extra fiber.  We set out the ingredients and simple directions below, but let us know if you have any questions when you start experimenting with your own recipes.

Ingredients:

1 sliced apple
1 sliced pear
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup ice
2 tbsp Cricket Flours: 100% Pure
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Using a kitchen blender first add in the coconut milk, ice, and then follow with the Cricket Flours: 100% Pure.  Next, add in the sliced apple and pear and blend all ingredients until smooth.
